WCVB-TV, NewsCenter 5 has promoted Gerry Wardwell to Assistant News Director. Wardwell previously was the Managing Editor for about nine years. He joined NewsCenter 5 in 1998 as Executive Producer. Before joining WCVB, he was the Executive Producer at WHDH-TV and also had worked at WSVN-TV, WHDH`s sister station in Miami. His promotion is effective immediately.
