DEVELOPING STORY: As we have been reporting for several months 7News is making the switchover to High Definition in July 2008. We are being told that as of right now everything is in place for the switchover except some touch up’s to the news set. Those set pieces include the Breaking News and News Desks and the upper balcony. We can also confirm that the station has revamped their current music package by Chris Crane using the same signature theme. The station has been running HD tests with the different on air talents using the high definition robotic cameras as well as HD make up. Over the past few days the rug that is in the back area of the newsroom was ripped up and a new black studio floor replaced it.
